  4. Installation

The Scriptist cli downloads and installs Scriptist allowing you to run scriptist, right from your terminal window.

This script installs Scriptist to its preferred prefix (/usr/local for macOS) so that you do not need sudo when you run scriptist install. It is a careful script; it can be run even if you have stuff installed in the preferred prefix already. It tells you exactly what it will do before it does it too. You have to confirm everything it will do before it starts.

curl https://scriptist.org/get -fsSL | bash

If you would like to add the Scriptist CLI to your machine directly you can simply run:

curl -LO https://scriptist.org/releases/scriptist
chmod +x scriptist
