Publishing to Scriptist.org

The simplest way to distribute a package for public consumption is to use Scriptist.org. Packages that are published to Scriptist can be installed via the scriptist install command.

To begin, you will need to create an account on Scriptist.org. Visit the sign up page and supply an email address that you control, a handle (username) and a password.

Note that your package name must be unique. It cannot have a name that is already in use by another package already published to Scriptist.org.

To publish version 1.0.0 of a new package named hello-polypad:

Congratulations! Your new gem is now ready for any ruby user in the world to install!
